Adult Sunday School

Abraham, Baptism, Covenant…Yahweh, Zion. The Christian faith from A to Z. Sunday school in the coming year will study the ABC’s of our faith, along with lessons on current issues from “The Wired Word.” Join with other interested learners between worship services (9:30 – 10:10am) in the parlor. Everyone is welcome and no advance preparation is needed.

Summer Bible Study led by LPC Pastors

Each month either Chris or Dave will teach a two-week study in June and July, and possibly in August depending on interest.

Chris will kick off the series with a study of the New Testament book, Philippians, Thursdays June 13th and 20th, with the same content offered at both 2pm and 6pm each day in the parlor. Join in to hear about the church in Phillippi, Paul’s relationship to them, and his challenge and encouragement for them, with discussion of what it means for us today. The book is short-only four chapters-but it’s long on meaning!! Come discover for yourself and get to know other folks a little bit better as well. Dave will teach a series in July. Look for details to come.

Mark Your Calendars for Sunday June 23rd

Lt Ian Clark, Battalion Chaplain Parris Island

The Faith Formation Ministry is pleased to have Lt. Ian Clark, Battalion Chaplin on Parris Island, returning as our guest preacher on Sunday, June 23rd at 10:30 AM. After the service there will be a time of light refreshments in the Narthex and then we will return to the Sanctuary where Lt. Clark will speak on “Artificial Intelligence: Playing God?”

Lt. Clark’s presentation was well received last year, so plan to join us this year for what promises to be an enlightening time of learning and reflection.

Women of Faith,

Women's Discussion Small Group

LPC’s Women of Faith have enjoyed learning more about our ancient sisters in scripture while gaining a deeper understanding of ourselves and our relationship with God in our study of “Bad Girls of the Bible” by Liz Curtis Higgs.

Following our May 14th discussion, Women of Faith will take a break for the summer months and reconvene in September. Watch for information about the next book in the bulletin and upcoming issues of The Light.

Men of Purpose,

Men's Discussion Small Group

MOP will meet Saturday mornings at 9 am through May 11th and reconvene in September.
