Jan Alpert

Administration

Jan answered the call to be an elder in 2023 to grow her religious education and provide more volunteer time in service to the church. What she most enjoys at LPC is the fellowship with other church members in a loving environment where members care about one another.

I welcome this new chapter  of leadership and pray that the wisdom and compassion that marked my medical career will serve our LPC congregation and the missions we support. Missions are not just something our church does, they are the heartbeat of our church.

We are made for goodness. We are made for love. We are made for friendliness. We are made for togetherness. We are made for all of the beautiful things that you and I know. We are made to tell the world that there are no outsiders... We all belong to this family, this human family, God's family. - Desmond Tutu

Gigi Johnston

Congregational Care

Gigi joined LPC because she enjoys the messages and teachings. She accepted the call to join the session because she was taught that when you’re asked to serve God’s children, and your able, you do so.

"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff-- they comfort me…"

 Psalms 23

Janit feels that LPC has a genuine Christian energy of love, acceptance, serving our community, and joy!

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."  Galatians 6:9

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”

Rachel Held Evans once said - "I can't be a Christian on my own. I need a community. I need the church." LPC is that family of faith for Pam!

Sandy Iams

Missions

Sandy is looking forward to her commitment as an elder in this church community which has a wonderful Christian energy filled with love, a generous spirit of giving, and service. “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with Gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God. It is He that has made us and not we ourselves : we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.”

Psalm 100: 1-4

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint." Isaiah 40: 29-31

Anne Redlus

Missions

When Anne joined  LPC 10 years ago, she immediately was drawn to Missions and have been on that committee ever since.  Making a difference locally and beyond has been my mantra forever as we continue to look for new ways to serve through God's leading.

Anne loves the hymn....Here I am Lord: "Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart."

Patti Rozonkiewiecz

Communications

Patti knew from the first time she visited LPC that it would be her spiritual home. She believes that God gives you knowledge and skills to be able to use them for him.  Because of this, she immediately knew that her place was on the communications team.

One of her favorite quotes is Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."

Faith Formation

Lowcountry Presbyterian Church provides a wonderfully caring church family for us.  My father was a teacher and taught by the way he lived his life.  He lived the Golden Rule.   That has always served me well as a goal in relationships.  Luke 6:31 _ "Do to others as you would have them do to you".
