World Communion Sunday

Information about this Week's Worship Service

**Virtual Communion

Please gather bread and wine and place them where you are worshiping. Use your best judgment to use whatever you have on hand be it a cracker, chip, juice, or water. Rev. Dion will instruct when to consume the bread and cup. We will take the elements one at a time with a brief time of reflection after each. At the appropriate time, you may say to yourself and those taking communion with you: “This is the bread of life” and “This is the cup of Salvation." After the service, you may consume the remaining elements or return them to the earth.

This Is My Song

This is my song, O God of all the nations,

a song of peace for lands afar and mine.

This is my home, the country where my heart is;

here are my hopes, my dreams, my holy shrine;

but other hearts in other lands are beating

with hopes and dreams as true and high as mine.

This is my prayer, O Lord of all earth's kingdoms:

thy kingdom come; on earth thy will be done.

Let Christ be lifted up till all shall serve him,

and hearts united learn to live as one.

So hear my prayer, O God of all the nations:

myself I give thee; let thy will be done.

Hymn of Preparation

God Welcomes All  (Iona, Scotland)

(sing twice)

God welcomes all, strangers and friends;

God's love is strong and it never ends.

For Everyone Born

(New Zealand)

For everyone born, a place at the table,

for everyone born, clean water and bread,

a shelter, a space, a safe place for growing,

for everyone born, a star overhead,

and God will delight when we are creators

of justice and joy, compassion and peace:

yes, God will delight when we are creators

of justice, justice and joy!

For young and for old, a place at the table,

a voice to be heard, a part in the song,

the hands of a child in hands that are wrinkled,

for young and for old, the right to belong, [Refrain]

For everyone born, a place at the table,

to live without fear, and simply to be,

to work, to speak out, to witness and worship,

for everyone born, the right to be free, [Refrain]
